This is Spring?

Today, we got the MOST snow we got all winter!

And it was HUGE flakes and a wet snow...perfect for a snowman.

Last weekend it was sunny and 70 degrees!

What a change!!! Happy Spring (???) everyone!

Another Beautiful Day!

I just came in from walking around my property taking pictures. What a gorgeous day!

It is already 50 degrees and is supposed to head to a high of 60!!! The sun is warm and the skies are bright blue. There are hardly any clouds to be seen. Smileycons!

I even saw my first robin this morning! A sure sign of spring, right?? Smileycons!

We don't have too much snow left. That big, warm sun keeps melting it allSmileycons!! But, I'm not complaining...I am ready forSmileycons! !

Spring Fever

Early this morning as I was making my Mocha Cappuccino, I noticed something that I have not heard in a while....birds singing outside my window! That can mean only one thing! Spring is not far off! With the mornings being so light and our temperatures warming to the 50's, I definitely can feel spring fever starting to affect me.

Today is Sarah's oldest daughter. She was born some twenty odd years ago. To me, it just does not seem that long ago! I remember going to the hospital at 5:00 pm on a Friday afternoon and having the doctor tell me that I should go home because it was not time yet. And, she was already 3 weeks overdue!!! But, after much discussion, I stayed! And, she was born at 2:42 am Saturday morning. What a wonderful experience!!! ( So wonderful that I ended up having 6 children!) I remember being excited and scared all at the same time. It was a wonderous time, one I am so glad God blessed me with. You just can't explain the joy that you feel when you first see and get to hold YOUR baby. Back then, we stayed in the hospital for 3 full days. It gave me plenty of time to get to know her before heading home to start our life together as a, dad and baby girl. I would not trade that time, that experience for anything! Happy Birthday Sarah. I love you!!!

Welcome March!

The old saying goes if March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb and if March comes in like a lamb, it goes out like a lion.

Meaning...If the weather is bad (cold and snowy) at the beginning of March, then the end of March (going out) will be calm (like a lamb). If the weather is mild at the beginning of the month, then it is said that the end of March will end with bad weather.

I wonder, will it be true this year???
